Why rappeler and not souvenir?
If these both mean I am, when do you use each one?
How would you say "I'm going to get my nails done today." ? I thought "Je vais me faire faire les ongles aujourd'hui ", but am not sure.
Est-ce que c'est simplement une question de niveau?
This was a question in the test and I chose the passé composé answer "Nous avons appris l'espagnol." because the action has no effect on the present. But the answer key said the imparfait answer "Nous apprenions l'espagnol." is correct choice. Why is that?
i've also seen "jouer à des jeux de société" as the translation for "to play board games" (www.linguee.com). Are there two thoughts on the translation, eg.Canadian French ?
Is this type of sentence structure formal? I am having difficulty in knowing which is formal and which is informal. When will a sentence like this be used?
I would greatly appreciate if there was some sort of guide for this. Thanks!
what is the plural of le crayon in french
Since the 1990 spelling reforms we should be allowed to write "s'il vous plaît" with or without the little hat (circonflexe) on the "ï", but this exercise doesn't allow us the option of leaving it off (in either of the 2 sentences where it occurred).
Also (and this is even more minor) the "hint" gave us the wrong spelling of "Guinness", although it was then correct in the actual answer.
