He quit smoking for five months but when the sun returned he started going out again? Is “when the sun returned” an expression meaning when warm weather returned?
Why is it ' on se serait crus' and not ' on se serait cru'. I thought 'on ' was singular.
In “Je me suis donc retrouvée dans une cabine relativement spacieuse dans laquelle pouvaient coucher jusqu'à six voyageurs.” why is it pouvaient as opposed to pouvait? As the subject (une cabine) is singular I was expecting pouvait.

One suggestion given for the translation of 'we'll drink it without rushing' is 'nous le boirons sans se presser'. Would it be wrong to say 'nous le boirons sans nous presser' instead?
I believe that “I arrived the day he left” refers to a non-specific timeframe and therefore should use the feminine form, but it was marked wrong on my test and the masculine “la jour” was said to be correct instead. Can someone explain to me why this would be the case, or if it’s an error?

In one of the A2 tests, I see « Il faut toujours regarder devant soi. » and « Il faut toujours essayer soi-même avant de juger. » When do you use soi vs soi-même? I keep getting docked for choosing soi-même in the first sentence.
In the list of words to be familiar with at the beginning of this exercise, "nutmeg" (the last word given) is included for some reason.
