sûrement, probably or certainly

sûrement, probably or certainly

in the exercise there's a word  used "sûrement" as "probably",

however here it says it means "certainly":

http://dictionnaire.sensagent.leparisien.fr/SUREMENT/fr-fr/

and here seems to be meaning both:

Hi Valentin,

Without the actual sentence, I cannot comment on the use of 'sûrement' without context.

I think you have answered your own question with your research, on the second page you quote, 'sûrement' is used to mean,

probably, surely and certainly

It all depends on the context.

Bonne Continuation!
