salle de bains

I was wondering why with the sentence "une salle de bains avec une baignoire", that "bains" is plural. Is it always plural even if there is just the one bathroom ?

Merci

Hi Martin,

Yes, 'bains' is always plural, think of 'salle de bains' as the room where you have lots of baths, the action of bathing.

If you have several bathrooms it would be -

J'ai deux salles de bains = I have two bathrooms

Bonne Continuation!
