I received this question in a quiz: "Les femmes travaillent: ________ lavent et les autres cuisinent."
Isn't "quelques-unes" another correct way to say "some of them?"

Hi Chris,
As in my last answer, both are correct but the lesson is concentrating on 'les unes' ( some) rather than 'quelques-unes' ( a few of them) which doesn't really alter the meaning but is slightly different.
