Bonjour Tom,
It is an acceptable usage especially in a poetic context or in literature (when listing two things).
Poetry: Adieu veau, vache, cochon, couvée. (de la Fontaine)
Literature: Enfants et vieillards font souvent cause commune (Sartre)
