Yes, they are both synonyms just as in English -

souvent = often

fréquemment = frequently

Hi Janet,

I agree that there does appear to be strong synonymy between these two adverbs.

I would like to see what a staff expect can add because there may be a nuance that an Anglophone may not realise.
