For the phrase « he only ate sweets » the was given as « il n’a que mangé… » . Why isn’t it « il n’a mangé que… »?
Is it also correct to say:
Elle rappelle à Alain sa sœur
I am getting this word order in Reverso translation and Google Translate for many examples I made up with the same structure. I know Google Translate is not always reliable, but I have also seen other examples that seem to indicate the word order above is used as well as the one used in the lesson. Thank you.
Is “Il ne vous reste plus que” a phrase?
M'y answer feels awkward and is clearly wrong but i cannot find anywhere on the site that deals with when you need to use ici rather than ils n'y habitent plus in this situation... Think it needs là as well.
