In the 4th sentence: entre chercher les œufs et les manger, why are these verbs in the infinitive form. I thought they would be in the gerund. Thank you!
What is wrong with tu es Anglaise instead of tu es anglaise
Aujourd'hui j'ai appris quelque chose nouvelle et intéressante à propos de la Belgique. Il me rappelle des révolutions de la France et de la Russe. Quelle l'histoire fascinante. Pourquoi il n'y a pas de questions de compréhension? Ils me manquent.
Why was autour de used rather than environ?
I chose the c-with-cedille for the beginning of the fourth sentence, but I wasn't able to figure out how to make it capitalized (thus I got it wrong because it wasn't capitalized). How can one do that ?
Hi, is there anybody know how to get through B1, especially its grammars? I have been starting this level for a month and I think it's extremely difficult. At this point I just wanna give up and I start to hate French to be honest :(
«Vieux» might be considered an exception to this rule, as the adjective has 2 masculine singular forms, but the feminine singular form (vieille) always follows the form of «vieil» , regardless of whether followed by a vowel/mute h or a consonant. I don't know of any others - does anyone else?
Why would we use « leur histoire » for « their stories »? It is confusing because some of your alternative phrases use « leurs histoires »and some use « leur histoire ». Is there a lesson on this?
The sentence tout le monde éclata de rire quand ils ont vu uses first the passé simple and then the passé composé. Why is the same form of the passé not used for both ? I read in the Lawless French article on the passé simple that it's not used in conjunction with the passé composé (https://www.lawlessfrench.com/grammar/passe-simple/).
