I wrote des vacances and du travail which was wrong, but I don’t know why. Can you explain since this error isn’t covered in this lesson explanation. I still have trouble with these articles. Thanks so much.
Can one say, "Daniel habite à l'extérieur de la ville" to say "Daniel lives outside of the city", or is it wrong or odd? Also, when I was in school, we were told to use "au-dehors de" but you do not include it in the prepositions lesson. Do people use this preposition? It is in the Collins dictionary.
I am so lost! The information doesn't make it clear for me. Any other support?
“Are you all doing your homework?” is translated, “Vous faites tous vos devoirs?”
How to say, “Are you doing all your homework?“ Different meaning. Tx.
In a recent writing exercise I was asked to translate, “I took the little creature in my arms and I took him back to his home.” You translated “took back” with ramener. Ramener stems from mener meaning to lead. As the dog was being carried surely the correct translation in this case is rapporter.
what is the difference between these two?
Regarding 'Ils ________ pendant les vacances." you give the answer as 'auront grandi'. Reverso gives both an avoir and an etre form forr the future anterior of grandir. I assumed as this was intransiitive it would be the etre form?
Fidèle is an adjective that precedes nouns?
Hi, I saw the below sentence:
Zoé découpe les images de papier.
Why not des instead of les?
I believe it should be des images de papier because images are plural
Thank you
