Hello,
Would the correct way to say "La boulangerie devant qui j'attends est fermée" be "La boulangerie devant où j'attends est fermée"?
Is there an example where you could use 'devant qui' if used with a 'living thing'? For example, would it be correct to say "Le monsieur devant qui je me tiens tousse"?
Nick
Why not say, Elle et ma sour? (It is 'specific').
In ‘ Quand ouvre-t-on les cadeaux? ‘ When do we open the presents?
where does the ‘t’ come from?
drawing a blank tonight. if attendre ans s'attendre both mean to expect how can we tell when each is required
Should we use Coureur ou coureur cycliste?
Merci
Tracy
I keep getting asked a question that I know I have no intention of answering.. I don't answer it so it keeps getting asked.. .. and asked..... is there any way of telling Kwiziq not to ask me again?.. and, presumably, it is marking me down for my failure to answer.
Run into a problem with this one.. I am interpreting cheating as an ongoing state rather than something that is happening at this instant and, from the choices available, thought "être trichants" to better reflect that than "en train de".. this was in a general test and not specifically testing "en train de"
What would be the best way to say... "He realizes you're cheating."?
Il réalise que vous êtes en train de tricher.
Il réalise que vous êtes trichants.
"Les enfants demande à leur mère de leur raconter ce qu'ils doivent manger pour être forts. "
Can anyone tell me whether the expression is être fort or être forts?? Or if both are acceptable, then when should I use each form?
'Trop loin de ..' is not accepted - being corrected to 'loin de', although the English sentence is 'not TOO far from....'.
Shouldn't "J'y irai ...' be accepted for "I will go (where ? - to my classes) every Wednesday ..." . It is being corrected to just "J'irai....".
From the attached lesson "Note that in French, you always need to mention where you're going with aller (to go *somewhere*)"
