Why does visite sometimes have an acute accent on the end, other times it doesn't?
Hi!
I don't want the tips that appear in the fill-out-the-blanks exerceises. Can I choose to turn them off?
Thanks for any help! :)
Why does the text switch from imparfait to passé composé here:
Nous étions vraiment désolés. Nous nous sommes excusés
In the above examplers, it shows both "payeras" and "paieras" as being valid.
So why is "Je m'ennuierai à cette fête" considred correct, while "
Je m'ennuyerai à cette fête" was not?
Is it only "-ayer" verbs that allow the two alternatives?
I would like to know the best way to study with kwiziq to get the most out of it. Can anyone share your ideas?
So the question was:
How would you say ''You haven't lived here long.'' ?
1. Tu n'as pas habité ici depuis longtemps.
2. Tu n'habites pas ici depuis longtemps.
3. Tu n'habitais pas ici depuis longtemps.
4. Tu ne vas pas habiter ici depuis longtemps.
So the instructions are that with negation depuis is in passe composé, so I picked the answer number 1, but in results this was wrong as they wanted present - answer number 2.
What gives?
And what about the Negations of the examples given in this lesson? Are these correct for the Negative Imperative with Adverbial Double Pronoun -
With En -
- Ne t'en donnons pas! [Let's not give you any.]
- Ne m’en parle pas! [Don’t tell me about it.]
- Ne nous en parlez pas. [Don't tell us about it.]
With Y -
- Ne m’y emmenez pas! [Don't take me there.]
- Ne t'y amusez pas! [Don't have fun there.]
With Others -
- Ne me les donne pas. [Don't give them to me.]
- Ne nous l'envoie pas. [Don't send it to us.]
Last time he came, he didn't behave himself.fois dernièredernière foisprochaine foisfois prochainewhen I did this quiz I was marked incorrect when I chose "fois derniere"
but the lesson says I'm right. Dernier fois means last time as in "final time"?
If 'Je suis monté en voiture' means 'I got into the car', how does one say (if visiting someone on a hill and they asks how you got there) 'I came up by car ?
Surely that is also 'Je suis monté en voiture'.....
