Is there a mistake in the video at approximately the 1:08 mark? The example says:
Je mange une pomme and Tu *parle* à Marie. Shouldn't it be Tu *parles* à Marie?
Hi, in “les enfants sont bel et bien notre avenir” is “bel et bien” an invariable expression? And is that why we don’t have “les enfants sont beaux et bien” instead?
I am totally confused by the lessonand what appears to be contradicting examples, etc.
Has this been reformulated? It almost seems using c'est vs il/elle est is intuitive for native speakers but not those learning.
I was thrown by : Tu aimes mon pull? (specific) - Oui, il est tres beau.
(sorry, missing accents above)
and later: Tu aimes la soupe? (specific) - Oui, c'est reconfortant.
Martin likes Sarah. -> Martin aime bien Sarah. I answered this question with simply "Martin aime Sarah", and I wonder why was it marked as a mistake. Nothing in the question suggested that it's the friendly sort of like, it could very well be a romantic sort of like. Both options seem grammatically correct to me. Isn't that right?
Bonjour,
I recently did an exercise where I learnt about when colour adjectives stay the same in French, e.g. "When the colour is described by a phrase containing two or more words". The phrase was "la veste bleu canard".
Here though the word "blanches" does agree with "pages" and "alternées", which I thought were the words "blanches" is describing.
I would just like to know the reason for the agreement in that phrase.
Merci :)
Still not answered: for seasons under what conditions we & do not you use à with definite article. Examples do not clarify
Why are the adjectives feminine when transport is masculine?
Can't find a unifying rule for both these. Shouldn't it. Either:
Jolie sac & bleu robe
Or:
Sac Jolie & robe bleue
