Why was the hint given as "Le présent" with respect to "vous prenez" and the answer given was in the future tense "Vous prendrez"
Je n'ai pas bien compris......
salut tout le monde !
j'ai une question à propos de Pronom Y,
+Vous avez déjà dormi sous la tente ?
-oui, j'y ai déjà dormi.
est ce que c'est correct ? Je sais bien qu'on a besoin de( à+lieu ) pour pouvoir utiliser Y, et dans ce cas je n'ai aucune idée.
(peut être on peut répondre en utilisant cod:je l'ai déjà dormi.(?) )
merci d'avance pour vos réponses.
For the sentence, "I've faced many challenges since I became a parent...", why do you use the passe compose instead of the present tense? E.g., je rencontre de nombreux défis depuis que je suis devenu parent.
Bonjour,
In one of the examples above:
Maintenant que ses parents n'étaient plus là, elle devait s'occuper de sa sœur.
However I'm confused because it states that Devoir with l'imparfait is "was supposed to [do]", however the translation is:
Now that her parents were gone, she had to take care of her sister.
Why is it not:
Now that her parents were gone, she was supposed to take care of her sister.
Merci
would 'je peux recharger mes piles' be acceptable?
Hi, a couple of lines had missing audio.
Can anyone explain what the difference between the passe compose and past perfect forms of devoir are? google translate shows them as being the same thing:
J'ai dû faire quelque chose -> I had to do something
J'avais dû faire quelque chose -> I had to do something
Similarly what is the difference between the future and conditional forms:
j'aurai dû faire quelque chose -> I should have done something
j'aurais dû faire quelque chose -> I should have done something
Thanks!
My question relates to "Kwiz functionality", rather than anything in this lesson. I could ask the same question in any other Lesson.
I prefer the 2-question Kwizzes to the 10-question Kwizzes.
If I try to repeat the same quiz, I get the message: "This lesson is already in your notebook. Go to your notebook now to kwiz this topic as many times as you like."
That's fair enough.
I do:
- Go to Notebook
- Open this same lesson.
- (The URL is obviously different, but text is the same).
- Scroll down to the 2-question Kwiz
- I see the same negative message.
So, how do I "...kwiz this topic as many times as you like." ?
Thanks.
Alexandre is a proper noun, so shortening it to "qu'Alexandre" is optional and not necessary. Yet I got marked wrong for writing "n'a embrassé que Alexandre"
