J'ai choisi de faire .... qui combine langue, littérature et civilisation étrangères, Why do the three subject nouns not include a definite article ?
I'm confused as to why "we improved quickly" is in the passé composé rather than the imparfait. Surely the fact that they were quickly improving is an ongoing action in the past rather than something that happened "just like that" at one particular moment? (Having said that, reading the whole passage through again it clearly "feels" like it should be in the passé composé - I'm just not sure why....)
"trop de bonbons"
Is "trop" always coupled with "de" when it is followed by a noun?
Why do the quizzes that follow a lesson include topics we have not yet been covered? What is the purpose of that? To make no progress in results?
Bonjour .
Me being a beginner of the language French, usage of Alors and Donc baffles me.
Can someone help me of how to use both these in practical context.
Merci Beaucoup
In example question 1 of this lesson, you say: "Croyez-vous qu’il arrive bientôt ? Oui, ... crois." (Do you believe he'll get there soon? Yes, I believe so.)
Doesn't "Croyez-vous qu’il arrive bientôt?" mean "Do you think it's coming soon?".
Shouldn't it be "Croyez-vous qu'il y arrivera bientôt?"
is there a correct way to pronounce j’ai vs tu as. I noticed in the audio section they pronounce dash of them as an ‘a’ sound but in the video provided I hear the j’ai as an ‘a’ sound and tu as as an ‘ah’ sound. Wondering what’s typical or if it matters.
Quels sont les legumes de soleil ? J'ai cherche partout, mais je n'ai pas trouve cette phrase. Tous les legumes ont besoin de soleil, donc je me demande si ces legumes sont des legumes d'ete, peut-etre ?
