Too picky with marking correct answersJust took the Kwiz on my lesson plan and the question was to fill in the blank for this sentence:
"__________________ hier quand je lui ai marche sur le pied."("I hurt Olive yesterday when I stepped on her foot.")
Here was my answer, which was marked wrong:
"J'ai fait mal à Olivier hier quand je lui ai marche sur le pied."
My mistake? It wasn't at all the grammar. I simply typed Olivier instead Olive, probably because subconsciously Olivier seems like a French name to me, whereas Olive doesn't.
Now, although I understand this lesson completely and thoroughly, I will be marked down and have to do several more tests just to get back to where I was instead getting the extra percentage points that I should have gotten.
May I suggest that a simple typo with a name - which is completely irrelevant to the lesson - should be marked as "almost correct" and the answer be given the total points.
'Il a honte de ne pas plus aider les gens.' I don't understand the use of 'ne pas plus' in the sentence. Shouldn't it be 'ne plus'?
For the section that translates as, "Et avant de partir, je me tiendrai fièrement à l'entrée du parc," the hint says that "we use 'on' here." But then the correction uses "je."
Is this correct for a female white horse: Le cheval blanc?

In the lesson below, it is stated that "se coucher" means "to go to bed"
Conjugate reflexive verb se coucher in the present tense in French (Le Présent)
However, when I wrote "puis il se couche" as corresponding sentence for "then he goes to bed" in the last part of the exercise, it was marked as a mistake and the correct one shown as "puis il va se coucher"
Could you please advise which one is correct ? or have I misunderstood something ?
This question referring to visitors either visitreurs or visiteuses has a reference to adjectives ending in "er" becoming "ere" in the feminine. Could you lease explain how this is relevant? I'm really missing something here.
Regards,
Neil
Same query regarding the subjunctive but different sentence:
C'est le seul footballeur qui ait réussi à me faire pleurer....
