In the second sentence, the conversation has "lui" although it is hard to distinguish "lui" from "leur" with the speaker's intonation.  For the remainder of the conversation, the conversation has "leur" when referring to the recipient(s) of the gift.  While I can get the difference after listening for multiple times, I still find it strange that the two are not consistent.

If the first part of the question is stated in second person plural, why is ‘ne te couche pas’ right and ‘ne vous couchez pas’ wrong?

I think since 1990 and the contentious spelling reforms, there are now two acceptable ways to spell “onion” in French. I think the Academy even prefers “ognon” to be used over “oignon”. In the same way that you now allow “s’il vous plait” without the circumflex as well as “s’il vous plaît”, maybe you should add the new spelling of onion as an acceptable option? 

- Can I use "se composait" instead of "regroupait"?

- why use "en eut assez d'attendre (passé simple) while this place is supposed to describe the speaker's feeling, therefore can I use avait (imparfait) in this context.

why for past we use -  j'avais du mal 

But future we don't use - j'aurai du mal 

and uses - je vais avoir du mal ?

Just wondering why these exercises aren't marked automatically.   I think the whole thing would flow much better if we could go straight from one section to the next.

Why is vu used in this case to mean since in this case? Also is there anything similar to this that we could use the same way? Thank you

Could you forward this technical issue to the correct department?   I like to keep a copy of the exercise available while I am actually doing the exercise so that I can refer back to the suggested vocabulary if necessary.  Sometimes this works, sometimes not.  In this exercise, I was not able to bring up two copies at the same time.  Even after starting the exercise, I was not able to bring up the page with the vocabulary while retaining my place in the exercise itself.  My position in the exercise would disappear and I would see the original page.  If I hit start on that page, it would jump to my position where I left off.  It was impossible to keep the original page and do the exercise simultaneously.  Thanks for looking into this.  Send me an email if you require additional details.
