This morning, Lisa was reading the paper on the train, when she missed her stop! This had never happened to her before, but the article that she was reading was so fascinating that she didn't notice when the train stopped at her station. She only looked up as they were leaving the train station! As the following stop was half an hour away [from there], she had no other choice but to grin and bear it. She had to call her boss so that she knew why she would be late, then she resumed reading. She got off the train twenty-five minutes later, and she changed platforms to wait for a train that was going back the other way! What a waste of time!
