I'm a French teacher and my students can be very creative when they need to explain why they haven't done their homework! Here's a few examples: "I was on strike." "Burglars came into our house yesterday, and they took my homework." "I did my homework, but then I woke up, and it was only a dream!" "My hamster tore my worksheet up." What a fertile imagination!
