My questions is why the correct answer is "une petite place..." instead of "de petite place" since it's after a negation.
Is it still considered general when the adjective is followed by "here", why does this not revert back to the normal agreement rules?
I used the first person plural form of the verb for two reasons. Because the explanatory sentence used "we", not "one" or "people", and because although we may well know that everyone in our group is dying to meet her, we certainly cannot know that about the general public.
Why was this wrong?
In the test above, for the translation of "Marie achète du café.", I chose "Marie buys some coffee", due to the lesson above. However, the correct answer is "Marie buys coffee". Why is this?
"complimentaient" - I would have thought that "compliment..." would agree with "sa peau", singular, and not "des lèvres" and "de magnifiques cheveux", plural. Is it because "complimentaient" is in a que clause with lèvres and cheveux?
Any reason why l'hôtel de ville wasn't a possible answer?
Salut! Je suis juste curieux, qu'est-ce que ça veut dire précisément que "les cloches apportent les œufs...?" Est-ce que ces cloches de Pâques deviennent vivantes et alors apportent les œufs, ou est-ce que la sonnerie des cloches font apparaître les œufs dans les jardins? Ou est-ce que c'est quelqu'autre chose entièrement? C'est fascinant! Merci beaucoup!
