In the translation of, "I've always been fascinated by French high fashion, of which Yves Saint-Laurent is one of the most iconic figures.", do we use l'une instead of l'un because of the agreement with the 'la figure' ?
Why is this "que l'on" rather than "qu'on" ? I don't understand the "l"
What possessive adjective goes with the sentence Sa, Son or Ses _______fille Adele
salut tout le monde !
j'ai une question à propos de Pronom Y,
+Vous avez déjà dormi sous la tente ?
-oui, j'y ai déjà dormi.
est ce que c'est correct ? Je sais bien qu'on a besoin de( à+lieu ) pour pouvoir utiliser Y, et dans ce cas je n'ai aucune idée.
(peut être on peut répondre en utilisant cod:je l'ai déjà dormi.(?) )
merci d'avance pour vos réponses.
I am a beginner lever french learner. I have been trying to study a poem by Pierre de Ronsard, 'Quand vous serez bien vielle..'. I have understood the meaning of the rest of the poem but the second quatrain still puzzles me.
Lors, vous n’aurez servante oyant telle nouvelle,
Déjà sous le labeur à demi sommeillant,
Qui au bruit de mon nom ne s’aille réveillant,
Bénissant votre nom de louange immortelle.
I have looked up the meanings of all the individual words and have a rough understanding of the whole but without absolute certainty. I would appreciate if anyone could expound upon this quatrain.
I don't understand why in this lesson the example is given i.e. the ez is dropped from the verb
-Donne-moi les fleurs!
-Give me the flowers!
However, I have been marked as incorrect by doing what seems to be the exact same thing.
Make this statement into an order : "Vous me donnez les fleurs": ________ les fleurs!imperative
· Donnez-moi RIGHT
· Donne-moi WRONG
Is this a mistake on your part or am I missing something here?
