Why are only "a qui" and "a laquelle" accepted as answers, while "dont" isn't?
Hi - thanks for this great website. I have a question regarding y and 'la\la-bas'. I am not sure whether they can be used interchangeably? For example we could both say J'y vais ou je vais là and, if so, does it keep the same meaning? Thank you!

Can you say Tu n’y étais pas instead of Tu n’ étais pas là to mean You wern’t there?
Good morning,
My answer to Q7 in this test was wrong.I wrote 'montre' instead of 'montres'.I am not sure why an 's' has been added to 'montre' since the auxiliary verb is avoir and not etre.(I cannot add the accents).I can only assume I've missed a lesson where this is discussed but I suspect it has something to do with the use of 'leur'.
Thank you for your help.

The English was "... choose a career". "Choisir une carrière" was not accepted. Would the French always substitue a possessive pronoun for an indefinite article in such an instance ?
I was under the understanding that we don't use the ne explétif with "sans que" unless the rest of the sentence is in the negative. Is the above sentence in this lesson a mistake or did I misunderstand the lesson on sans que?
