lol this story.
Please can you explain whether this still applicable when you are using conditional phrasing. Instead of:
Je ne prétends pas que ce soit comme ça partout.
I don't claim it's like that everywhere
How would you say: I don't claim that it would be like that everywhere
Does that still use the subjunctive?
Thank you.
how do I get other stories. I lost the one about the father who reassures his son about the monster under the bed.
The translation was " Where I hope" why couldn't i say " Où j'espère" ?
The answer "où avec un peu de chance" translates more like "where with a bit of luck".
I don't understand what the difference is exactly between nous and on
Could someone please expand a bit on the part that says “formally, it should be before, but in practice, it often ends up after”?
If, for example, we were to write it after in an exam script, would this be marked down and regarded as an inaccuracy?
Thanks in advance!
I am really struggling to understand the difference between these as they are both used when there is a choice as What/Which. I have read the lessons on these over and over but still consistently getting answers wrong. I was wondering if someone could explain as simply as possible please!
Many thanks
Amanda
