Why "ses jambes" instead of "les jambes"?
My understanding was that you used definitive articles, not possesive
In this sentence, "période pendant laquelle apparaissaient les fortes chaleurs," is "apparaissaient" the correct tense?
Shouldn't it agree with the noun "période?"
Hence "période pendant laquelle apparaissait les fortes chaleurs?"
This answer appears in the writing challemge: "Pre-date stress".
The question was "All afternoon, he'd rehearsed in his head"
Why would the answer not end in "la tête"? Or at least allow both la and sa?
Isn't this a similar case to "il s'est gratté la tête" (He scatched his head) where the body part belongs to the subject of the verb.
Not entirely sure what this rule entails / under what circumstances it operates.
Thanks in advance!
The lesson appears to focus on making a distinction between use of trouver (to find something) and trouver que (to think something). Yet in the examples the previously mentioned translation (post about a year ago) of the above remains 'he finds' not 'he thinks' and in a dashboard test today "Ils me trouvent charmant"and "Ils me trouvent que ...." were both given as being "they find me charming". Either there is a clear distinction between the 2 forms or there is not. At present the lesson quite clearly makes the case there is but the discordant examples and test answers are confusing. Edit required.
I thought you always used the "ne + subjonctif" construction after "avant que"
I thought with occupations there was no article prior to the occupation. Je suis médecin, not je suis un medecin. Is this an exception?
Why mon devoir not devoirs as for homework we use devoirs
