Je suis une sage-femme, je rencontre mes clients à la réception et ensuite nous allons dans la salle d’examen, est-ce que je pourrais dire " allons-y" ?
My mother wanted to come with me but I preferred to go on my own.
Why do we here use the PC rather than the IMP?
I was taught (in both English-taught French classes and by French-speaking people) that the use of 'on' for 'we' was very colloquial and borderline bad grammar. I was baffled by the construction of the sentence using 'we' in English. I'm annoyed to be classified as 'lower intermediate' when I am considerably more advanced than that, even if I'm out of practice. I need to practice, but won't get much if I'm getting questions at this level and being challenged only by a confusing usage.
Bonjour Madame Cécile,
If the sentence is given as " J'en ai acheté. "
Then, the question for this sentence would be as
1. Qu'as-tu acheté ? OR 2. As-tu acheté du pain ?
Madame , Please confirm which one of the following questions is correct.
Merci d'avance
Bonjour a tous,
I am new here. Please I find it difficult to identify when le or les is pronounced. The same goes for de/du.Is there any way I can always identify each of these when pronounced?
Merci.
How would you say " in my last summer vacations i.........."
Thank you!
“Elles ne l’ont pas fait exprès” does NOT follow the direct object rule, and the lesson states this clearly. Is this because this is a case of le/la referring to a concept, so it’s not a direct object? Could their be a sentence in which a direct object would be used, and therefore require agreement?
In this sentence can't we use des amis Why d'amis
From the lesson:
J'en ai rachete, juste au cas ou. And "with juste au cas ou, youn can only use Le Conditional.
But the conditional is j'aurais achete or is this s typo?
Jack
