What is the difference between this and 'Lucie Martin est allée voir' ?
Hi All,
I dont quite understand the necessity of complicating life by using "a ce que" when we can simply use "que" with no losses in meaning. Is there really a difference?
Merci
How do I know if I need the article in the statement
...mais je suis tres mauvais en musique
...par plus heures de science
Salut tout le monde !
I was asked to translate "tu sais ce qui est le plus efficace ?", j'y ai répondu "do you know who is the most efficient?" mais la bonne réponse est "do you Kong what is post efficient?".
J'ai du mal à comprendre pourquoi les deux ne sont pas corrects, j'apprécierais une explication. Merci beaucoup ! :)
Are there verbs that don't follow the structured outline noted here - 'stem' from future simple conjugation, 'endings' from past imperfect conjugation? I think that I have not yet (early days) come across a verb that does not conjugate in the conditional in accordance with these simple 'rules' and having this clarified could/should/would make it much easier to remember. Even for irregular verbs it seems to me that if you know the imparfait and the future simple (both of which are also pretty consistent with 'endings' but not the stems) you have all you need to know the conditional.
If opinions are expressed in the imparfait or plusque parfait, why are the two statements representing “I always loved” and “I always found that magical” in the passé composé?
In the sentence: À qui sont ces balles ? ________ les miennes. Why can't I say 'ce sont les miennes'?
"Note that because plus is used in a negative context here, you don't pronounce the final "s"."
