Hello. Is it really possible to find out, which tense i should use, if i only see this first part of the sentence, without knowing whats following?
When we arrived in the changing rooms,
'Autres' refers to 'détails', so is an adjective ('détails' being a noun)?
So shouldn't it be 'des autres'?
I didn't finish this exercise the first time round. I've come back to it - a long time later - but unfortunately it doesn't remind me which words/phrases to look up in advance, so had to guess all of them! Please could you do a reminder for when this happens?
I find myself wanting to ask this based on the same question as Joseph K below - where you're given "Anne is having fun at the circus" and "Anne is amusing herself at the circus." as potential multiple choice answers, with only the former being marked correct.
If "Anne s'amuse au cirque" can't mean "Anne is amusing herself at the circus", how would you say that?
is this the same for all future tenses?
for example jouer - becomes je jouerai so you dont pronounce the e after this i either?
In UK English this can also apply when someone agrees to come at a future time ("thanks for coming tomorrow") so it’s useful to remember you can’t do the same in French. Incidentally the only way I can fix "pour" and "de" in my brain is to think that you "pour" something concrete..
Hello,
Why is it not 'tu n'as pas de clope?'
I thought we used a partitive article rather than a definite article when doing negations? So, in this case, de vs. une.
Pourquoi la phrase avec des cocotiers manque t-Elle les partitifs (avec des cocotiers, du sable), or is it because it is like a dream 'aah, cocotiers, sable banc, cocktails
Hi Team,
Does the following sentence work in French:
Cela ne tient pas compte d'effets négatifs de la lumière bleue qui perturbe notre horloge biologique.
Bonne journée !
