would 'j'ai achete pour ma mere un weekend' be correct ? ( cant do the accents )
Should it not be 'avant qu'on ne parte'?
Regards
I saw "Il a fait les mêmes choix." in the exercise.
Here mêmes is before the noun and choix is plural. Why we don’t use de in this situation? Thank you.
Why is there no preposition "de" after the verb "descend" in the phrase: "Elle descend les escaliers" ?
Ils vont visiter 'la tour Eiffel' ce matin.
Would it be replaced by a direct object or y
They will visit it = la or they will visit there = y
Ils vont la visiter or ils vont y visiter.
I've been following the Kwiziq recommended study plan and have mastered the level A0 topics. I've managed to get my score to 100% for the entire A0 level. However, Kwiziq still recommends level A0 lessons no matter how many tests I take. Will Kwiziq eventually start putting level A1 lessons into my study plan? Or do I have to do something to toggle it?
Thank you.
I would like to know why retenir means "to learn" here and not apprendre
A post further down says "soit..soit is used when followed by anything other than a verb". I’ve just done a quiz elsewhere where the answer they wanted was "Soit tu mets du déodorant, soit je te quitte"! Is this a usage that exists but isn’t good French? If so, what’s a better way to express it? I can’t imagine "soit que" is very common and "que" + subjunctive verb seems to be a yes/no situation (eg que tu le mettes ou pas) rather than offering two alternative verbs.
Thank you.
Your quizzes include so many questions using the passive voice. It is not something I recall hearing or reading much. In fact, I think it best to avoid in both English and French. Wonder why the emphasis on this.
I received a quiz question: "The French Revolution lasted from 1789 to 1799." It directed me to this lesson but I'm not seeing where this lesson tells you about what to use between two years?
