Great exercise on the whole. I will say (and this is likely because my ears are novices) that I still can't hear the "ne" in "si ça ne te dérange pas ?" I heard the "pas" so assumed it was there.
D'Houstan ou de Houstan?
Car H mute est une voyelle....????
J'ai écrit je fais des choses variées au lieu de différentes?
Çà marche?
Merci
The lesson uses :"Ce lit fait 2 mètres de longueur."
But the answer: "Ma piscine fait 6 mètres de longuer" is marked wrong.
Why is that?
Hello, please advise why affreuse is in front of the noun. je souffre d'affreuses crampes
Thank you
"Depuis que Catherine a changé de carrière il y a quatre ans, plus personne ne la reconnaît." I understand this to mean "Ever since Catherine changed her career four years ago, no one recognizes her anymore." I would never have known where to put that "plus!" I might have thought "personne ne la reconnait plus." Would that have been wrong if I had been constructing the sentence instead of doing it as a dictation?
And a couple of little periods have been inserted in the vocabulary section at the beginning: eg. te.lle. I like to look at this section as the whole piece is being read to me and I noticed these tiny typos.
' never going to bed angry' should be surely present tense as they are still doing it?
I thought if vouloir was used as negative phrase, you didn't use the subjonctif tense...am I wrong?
''Je crois que le modèle que nous imaginions, où les gens travaillaient de chez eux, s'est concrétisé.''
For example, in the sentence above, 'où' does not mean 'when' or 'where'; rather, it is used to describe the 'modèle', which is not a time or place. Why is the use of 'où' still correct?
Thank you.
I am confused by this example:
"I haven't left France for three years:" "Je n'ai pas quitté la France depuis trois ans."
The lesson says "we use PC because the negation indicates the action wasn't done during the entirety of that past period. BUT PC is used to express actions which were completed or finished in the past.
This example shows it WAS NOT completed, so why PC and not imparfait??
Thank you.
is 'Glace aux marrons " acceptable too? A brief explanation would help. Thanks
