Examples showing agreement without an object pronoun.

In the Weekend Challenge: 'My plan for the day of the exam' one of the translations required is 'that I'll have chosen the day before'.

The answes given are:

'que j'aurai choisiS la veille' OR 'que j'aurai sélectionnéS la veille'

There is no object pronoun in either of these answers, so why are the past participles 'choisi' and 'sélectionné' writen with an S added for agreement?

Faire de, jouer àJust wondering if it might be possible to add a note after the end of the examples for »jouer à/au » and sport saying NB when you play an instrument however you say « jouer à la/au » just to remind people that jouer is used in this way also???

Tarte aux pommesIs this considered another « fixed » expression used to describe food. Just curious because as « pommes » is feminine and plural one would normally say « tarte à les pommes » . Are there other similar exceptions?

Pourquoi "le raisin mur"

Pourquoi "le raisin mûr" au lieu de "des (ou les) raisins mûrs" dans la phrase :

Les vendangeurs cueillent le raisin mûr.

par rapport à

Mon fils cueille des pâquerettes pour la Fête des Mères.

I am confused: the first two sentences use the past tense, one with juste au cas oû, the other au cas oû but your explanation only talks about the conditional tense and not why these first two sentences are different.

Agreement question

This question got marked "Incorrect" because the past participle didn't have the "e" at the end: Je félicitais Julie pour être parti à temps. The subject/actor in this sentence could be either male or female. Should the past participle agree with the indirect object ("Julie", in this case)? Or with the Subject, "Je"? If the agreement is with the subject, then either "partie" or "parti" would be correct.

Je suis retourné me coucher après que tu es parti.Il faut que je rie. J'ai écrit <je suis retourné me coucher après que tu t'en es allé. Bien sûr, cela avait tort. Je comprends que j'aurais dû écrire la reponse différemment comme vous l'avez fait. Mais avais-je raison. J'ai tenu les deux phrases dans le temps correcte, je le crois. Qu'est-ce que vous en pensez?
