Ne Ni Ni in the quiz question is grammatically incorrect.Neither is one of two things. Therefore the question in the quiz was grammatically incorrect.` I like neither the guitar, nor the violin, nor the piano` is not phrased correctly.

Translation question

In a test the sentence "Nous étions toujours ensemble à cette époque." was translated as

We were still together at that time. Does "toujours" mean "still?" Or should the translation be We were always together at that time. ?

Sometimes dont is used and in this case à qui/auxquelles

piétiner v attendreIn my experience piétiner is often a good translation for "wait", especially where it's an aggravately wait that leaves you walking up and down. A little guidance on this might be helpful..........max

Q:"''Nous sommes professeurs.'' Who can be speaking?" A: "Georges" - Why?I understand about mixed gender and singular/plurals, but this strikes me as a misleading question - the other options were the standard mix of genders, but I would assume if only person was speaking (Georges), then the question means who is this referring to, not speaking, and so this would not be a correct answer.
I don't think this is a case of misunderstood grammar, just a poorly phrased question. What I think the writer had in mind was that just George was speaking, and was referring to himself and someone else, but the other answers all imply one person speaking, unless two people were speaking at exactly the same time (unlikely!), e.g. "Georges and Fiona".

Anyone care to shed light on the matter before I report?

Indicating the time of day

Bonjour Aurelie !

Why is it that when you write time indicating the time of day (i.e. du soir or du matin) that you use "et demie" or "moins le quart" but when writing in 24 hour time you write just the number past so like "trente" or "quarante-cinq" ?

This may not be right but when i was doing the quizzes I often got it wrong because of this and am a little confused to be honest !
