Bonjour,
In the examples on the right you say in number 4 on the second row:
C'est bientôt les vacances!
It's the holidays soon!
But in explaining the lesson you say:
Ce sont bientôt les vacances!
It's the holidays soon!
Which is correct?!
Thank you.
I answered "merci du" in this question but was marked incorrect when in face the lesson states an equivalence between the two. Please explain.....
5________ cadeau, je l'aime beaucoup.Thank you for the gift, I like it a lot.Merci pour leMerci duI notice that Madelein has asked the exactly same question that I was going to ask. However, I'm still confused over this ... so if "I would buy a house" is translated as "J'achèterai une maison" how would you then translate "I will buy a house"
It looks like sometimes you use the partitive article 'des' even when referring to general things, for example:
Le vin blanc me donne des maux de tête.
or the following sentence from an exercise: 'J'étudierais un sujet qui me plaît, en rencontrant des gens intéressants
Can someone explain this please?
In the excersise 'If I could start over' I translated the phrase 'I would buy a house in the country' as 'J'acheterais une maison dans la campagne' and I got the following correction from Kwizbot: 'J'achèterai une maison à la campagne,' I know I didn't get the accent or preposition right, but why is the Kwizbot answer giving the verb in future tense instead of in the present conditional?
I am not doing the lessons in order but just looking them up for more for information in addition to what I am studying in class.
So say I am reading lesson 424 on passé composé, I have finished the 2 question quiz and then I want to go the next lesson....number 425...how do I get there?
If I type "Lesson 425" in the search box, it does not give me the option for that lesson.
Thank you in advance for your answer.
