Pour "j'ai réduit les dépenses superflues", peut on dire "j'ai rogné sur des dépenses superflues
et pour "il faut absolument que j'économise de l'argent", peut-on dire "il me faut vraiment économiser
et pour "même lorsque j'ai vraiment envie d'un burger ! ", peut on dire "même lorsque ce dont j'ai absolument envie c'est un burger"?

On a couple of occasions, after completing a phrase, when I clicked submit, the exercise jumped to the next phrase before I had a chance to see the answer and give myself a mark. Why does this happen?
Punctuation isn't mentioned in the dictation so should not be counted in the score (feedback from my year 11 students).

Is it alright to use "Pourrais-je vous offrir une boisson chaude gratuite en attendant ?" What would be the difference in using pourrais and puis, if any? Thank you.

This was a fun exercise. I really enjoyed learning about la montee des marches and seeing the beautiful photographs of Cannes while researching the vocabulary.
My question refers to the "hotel de luxe". Since the "stars" are plural wouldn't one assume that they leave their "luxury hotels", (plural)? Which would be: "leurs hotels de luxe" ? Or, is the possessive here always expressed in the singular, "leur hotel de luxe"?
Another question is about the use of the present tense in "j'admire". Would it be incorrect to say, "...que j'admirais depuis toujours"

Salut! Récemment j'ai commençe à étudier le subjontif. J'ai remarquè qu'il y a deux formes pour le subjontif imparfait: avais et eusse (pour avoir) et étais et fusse (pour être). Si je conjuge ceux-ci en le conjugateur (https://conjugator.reverso.net/conjugation-french-verb-etre.html) je peux voir qu'on utilise fusse, mais si je cherche une simple phrase en Google Traducteur (ou sur des autres traducteurs) comme "If I were you, ..." ils utilisent toujours l'imparfait indicatif ("Si j'étais toi, ...", dans le dernier exemple). Quel est la bonne forme? Merci.
