Punctuation isn't mentioned in the dictation so should not be counted in the score (feedback from my year 11 students).

Punctuation missing in dictation
Bonjour Nicki,
Thank you for your feedback! Both Maarten and Chris are spot on. There is no marking on punctuation for dictations. If the students have everything else correct, they aced it ;-) !!
I hope this is helpful.
Bonne journée !
I (almost) ignore the punctuation altogether on these exercises - there is enough to learn, and trying to match the punctuation distracts from learning language.
If the students are presented with the same exercises other subscribers see, these are self-scored, and whether to 'count' punctuation, or anything else such as minor typos or even real spelling errors, is 'own choice'.
There is no "score". The differences to the preferred answer are pointed out to you so that you can self-assess yourself.
