In this text, "Serviette" qppears to be a beach blanket, though"napkin" is my dictionary definition.  Similarly, "Rayures" are "scratches", "Glaciere"

Many words in French and English can have more than one meaning.

   I think of blanket --> couverture.

                  Towel or napkin --> serviette
