I didn't get a single translation correct, not even close. Was this really A2? I feel so defeated. There was so much new vocabulary in there. Is it possible to add more hints (like vocab) for this level so we can focus on structure?
Why did you say this was well done? You scored 19 out of 65 - well done!

If you are at A1, you deserve a well done for even completing a B2 exercise!.. and I generally prefer a carrot to a stick
Perhaps Kwizbot could replace the automatic 'Well Done' with a range of responses linked to the score and the difficulty of the exercise?
I agree with Mark and Lai, no way this was A2. Don't get discouraged Anne, I can assure you, these exercises can be really tough sometimes, even at quite "easy" levels. I've been "humbled" quite a few times, I'm not afraid to admit it either ! Don't dwell on it , move on. Paul.
Agreed, I should find A2, as this was labelled, manageable, but really struggled with this one. The often annoying thing is being told to look up vocab, and coming up with something different to what is wanted. They could give us the more obscure bits.
In the "weekly writing challenges and dictées", this exercise is indeed listed as A2, and I agree with some others here that this must be a simple grading error. Not sure why Mark thinks it was B2 but in effect I think that's where it should have been. Anne, I wouldn't worry that you struggled here as the usual A2 exercises do not normally include grammar used here such as the conditionnel, plus-que-parfait and subjonctif. And as you say the vocabulary is usually easier in A2 exercises as well. (And yes, I am also sometimes surprised to be told "well done" when I totally stuff something up. But keep on keeping on, and eventually it gets easier)
A2 Plus que parfait, conditionnel and subjonctif !!! Dust yourself off and get back on your feet Anne. We've all been there.
Relieved to read everyone's responses. I also thought it was more difficult than A2 and generally, sometimes the vocabulary I check in the dictionary isn't the same as the vocabulary given which can be disheartening. Maybe we shouldn't need to mark ourselves down for those differences.
