Vigilant vs prudent

Could I also use 'prudent' instead of 'vigilant'?

Hi M,

Reading the intro text only, I suspect that "vigilant" is the most appropriate when supervising a very young child. The sense is attentive (careful).

Prudent takes more a sense of sage, circumspect, and cautious.

Hope this helps.

Jim
