usin "pas" for neither nor
Hi Ozan,
You would not normally use ni ...ni that way.
Je ne mange pas de viande et je ne porte pas de cuir non plus
is a more elegant and correct way to say the sentence you mention.
You might say using ni...ni -
Je ne mange ni viande, ni poisson = I don't eat either meat or fish
or
Je ne porte ni cuir, ni daim = I don't wear either leather or suede
I hope this helps!
This is not 'neither ... nor'' If that is what you want to say, you don't use pas, you use the ne . .. ni .. . ni expression Ne ... ni ... ni = Neither ... nor (French Negations)%252Fsearch%253Fs%253Dne%252Bni%252Bni.
Running this past my French wife, she agrees your sentence would be fine, although it is not strictly 'neither... nor' which would require ne .. ni...ni
