Une liasse ou un paquet. What's the difference?

Salut ! C'est quoi la différence entre ces deux mots, "une liasse" et "un paquet" ? Is "une liasse" used for stacks of papers?

The word 'liasse' is used for things tied together, so could be 
une liasse de billets, de papiers, de journaux
Under this bundle of papers, she found 'un paquet de lettres', meaning a number of, a pack of letters, but loose items.

Hi Darian,Liasse  --> accumulation (bundle, batch, wad) Paquet --> parcel, package, packet.I suppose that there could be more than one paquet within a liasse.It is also the case that a paquet could contain several other items within.Hope this helps.Jim
