Une enfance très heureuse

Why is it une enfance très heureuse, and not une très heureuse enfance ? I thought heureux always came before the noun it modifies ?

Hi Brian,

Although normally the adjective would be placed after the noun it modifies in French, in this case, both sentences are correct and the meaning doesn't alter.

I always put heureux after the noun....
