sans + noun (no article)

I did have to look this one up! But for anyone else who was wondering, "sans chocolat" is absolutely correct.  I had thought it would be "sans le chocolat."

Hi Adrienne,

You would not have an article after sans

un dessert sans sucre = a sugarless sweet/dessert

une chemise sans manches = a sleeveless shirt

une soirée sans enfants an evening without children

etc.

Bonne Continuation !
