¨pelle¨ spade or shovel?

I understood ¨pelle¨ as shovel.  Is there no difference?

You are right that 'une pelle' can also be translated with 'a shovel'. It has now been added.

une bêche (une pelle-bêche) = a spade -> flat type
une pelle ronde = a shovel -> round end
