Hello,
I have a question. My practice sentence is she cancels the trip. My answer was Elle annule la voyage but the correct answer is le voyage.
My question is why is voyage with a masculine ? When the ending is age which is feminine.
Thanks
Nicole

Le voyage is correct. See link - not all words ending in -age are masculine, but many are. «-age» is not a 'feminine' adjectival ending. There is no ending that is absolutely 100% predictive of the noun gender as far as I am aware.

(PS - Asking 'why' to the gender of French nouns is mostly an exercise in frustration! It is mostly a matter of just asking and learning 'what/which' gender as you go. Some nouns of same spelling differ in meaning by gender).
Thank you that was actually my mistake I wrote it down wrong in my notes.
We have all been there! And, I should modify my answer - after writing it I recalled a reference on FrenchQuiz (Twitter - Laura Lawless) to «-isme» words all being masculine

Just proves that there is an exception to every rule, but not every exception gets another exception ! Unless someone can find an exception that disproves this, at least there is a small area of certainty here.
