ne personne
Why I can not say "ne sort personne" and I have to say "ne sort avec personne"?
This question relates to:French lesson "Ne ... personne = No one/nobody (French Negations)"
Asked 3 years ago
Avec is required here.
Sortir on its own does not mean “to go out with (someone)” - the expression is “sortir avec (quelqu’un)”. The lesson uses a free translation from ‘go out with’ to ‘date’, as one way to express it in English.
