I'm wondering why it's not correct to say "me présenter à d'autres gens"? I thought that présenter was followed by the preposition à.
me présenter d'autres gens

Hi Lorie,
You can say both and get a slightly nuanced meaning -
'...me présenter à d'autres gens' = to introduce me to other people
'...me présenter d'autres gens' = to introduce other people to me
Same difference I would say!

Since me can be a direct or an indirect pronoun, I suppose both are possible, depending on who is being presented to whom. There's no real difference in meaning, but perhaps the version given as correct in the exercise is more commonly used?
