Ma grand-mère avait les plus beaux rosiers de son village
This question relates to:French writing exercise "My grandmother's rosebushes"
Asked 1 year ago
Hi James,
If the sentence had been -
Ma grand-mère avait les plus beaux rosiers du village = My grandmother had the most beautiful rosebushes in the village
It might make more sense to you.
It is just that we say 'de' = of
rather than 'in' as in English.
Hope this helps!
