le onze
This question relates to:French lesson "Expressing dates in French"
Asked 5 years ago
Hi Diana,
The only 'onze' I found in the lesson was -
Le onze juillet
and it is pronounced correctly.

I wonder if Diana expected there to be a gap between le and onze? Although le is pronounced in full, it is still joined to the next word, which is a little unnatural for English speakers.

Good point, Alan!
To me, there is a slight gap as if onze had a 'h aspiré' in front of it and you will never hear l'onze.
