Is complète an acceptable alternative to 'finit' ?
My understanding is that for a general comment, 'C'est' is used when followed by any determiner.

Bonjour Andrea,
To mention that something is finished you have several alternatives, depending on the context and what you are trying to express.
C’est complet = it is full / fully booked
C’est fini = it is over / it is finished
J'ai complété une page = I filled in a page
J'ai complété un formulaire = I filled in a form
J'ai complété une transaction = I completed an order
J'ai fini / terminé mes devoirs = I finished my homework
With regards to the exercise you are referring to, the vocabulary used here is correct.
I hope this is helpful.
Bonne journée!
