The colloquial expression is "Ça ne fait rien" --> It's nothing / No problem / It doesn't matter.

Hi Christophe,
The point is that "ça m'est égal" is not the same as "ça ne fait rien"
"ça m'est égal" means "it's all the same to me" --> "It/that is to me equal" strictly speaking.
