can't determine what the subject of the lesson is suppose to be
This question relates to:French lesson "Il/elle/ils/elles = it/he/she/they (French Subject Pronouns)"
Asked 4 years ago
Hi Karen,
These are called subject pronouns and they go with verbs. In French, there are different forms of the verb which go with each pronoun. They vary much more than in English -
Taking the verb 'to go' in the present tense in English -
I go = je vais
you go= tu vas
he/she goes = il/elle va
we go = nous allons
you go =vous allez
They go = ils/elles vont
This is called 'conjugating' a verb.
Hope I have understood your query!
